DiSEqC and 22k tone switch setup.

My current setup is as follows and works well.

5 Satellites
4 way DiSEqC switch x 1
22k Tone Switch x 1

LNB 1 -> 4way DiSEqC Port 1 -> Receiver A
LNB 2 -> 4way DiSEqC Port 2 -> Receiver A
LNB 3 -> 4way DiSEqC Port 3 -> Receiver A
LNB 4 -> 22k tone switch ON -> 4way DiSEqC Port 4 -> Receiver A
LNB 5 -> 22k tone switch OFF -> 4way DiSEqC Port 4 -> Receiver A

I am planning on adding some more dishes/lnbs to my setup. Just wanted to clarify if putting the 22k tone switch before the DiSEqC will work so I can just buy another DisSEqC switch and set that up as follows.

8 Satellites
4way DiSEqC switch x 2
22k Tone Switch x 1

LNB 1, LNB 2, LNB 3, LNB 4 -> 4way DiSEqC 1 -> 22k tone on -> Receiver A
LNB 5, LNB 6, LNB 7, LNB 8 -> 4way DiSEqC 2 -> 22k tone off -> Receiver A

Hi,
Er, wouldn't it be WAY easier with a multiswitch?

My 10c....

Hi,
Yep that would work ....but....only for 1 receiver!
A mulitswitch could give you 12 or more depending on yer switch. DOn't have to use the outputs but.......And, a LOT easier to set up and less loss thru less connectors etc etc etc....

The pic I attached is on I have done for 25 outlets with 4 satellites some with multi pole access.
Simple

Interesting concept for setup. Not sure exactly how the multiswitch is setup in the decoder. As I am using an older decoder that only has support for 4 diseqc and 22k tone switch in the antenna setup section for each LNB.

DiSEqC A, B, C, D and 22k tone switch on & off.

hmmm not sure how a multi switch is going to help as there is only one receiver.

There are 8 port diseqc switches.

Indeed, i was going to suggest an 8 port switch.

Put considering what he already has in the way of parts, perhaps there was a cheaper way.

I am currently using a Humax 5410z decoder which allows for a maximum of 8 satellites dish lnb antennas, using a combination of 22k tone and diseqc switches.

My current dish setup is configured like the following.

The cheapest way to add additional satellites to my configuration would be to purchase another 4 way diseqc switch and run the 2 Diseqc switches through a single 22k tone switch to get the extra satellites. Just wondering if this will work?

Or will I need to go the more expensive route and purchase additional 22k tone switches like the following setup?
