Question TARBS Decoder - Help required

I have joined TARBS English package. The set top box was purchased by me, but they don't give you a Manual.

I want to be able to view Satellite FTA Channels when not watching TARBS.

The box is model MDS-3110, MDS Mentor Data Systems. designed in Taiwan manufactured in China.

I downloaded a PDF Manual from TARBS but it only gives very basic information about the box but no information on how to tune in signals etc.

I need the original instruction book that they should have given me as I purchased the box not rented it.

Can anyone tell me how to get a manual or the internet address for this Box.

I also need advice on whether I will have to reprogram tarbs channels after I have finished watching other satellite FTA.

Unfortunatly, what you have purchased, is JUST a tarb's receiver,
The encription is only used my Tarb's and no-one else, and your receiver will not except, any other programming, simply because it will only except MDS encription..

Also, Tarb's transmit on the Pas 8 satellite, and there is no other Ku frequances on that satellite, therefore you would need to repossition your dish,, There are some C-band services on Pas 8, but your LNB will not be suitable and the dish is to small.

Sorry, but your stuck with what you subscribe to..

Hey bassett

Also, Tarb's transmit on the Pas 8 satellite, and there is no other Ku frequances on that satellite,

Do u consider TVBS not to be worth classifying as a Ku freq?

Bad Dog,,,

What would the people at Jade World say,, We did have that running , via a funny thing on a computer, In fact someone asked , how the hell we stuffed an EMU into a computer
But it updatted at a hell of a rate, so we forgot it..

But we do have the Taiwanese Mix running on 3836 V 22000 with a funny little box that holds an animel called a UCAS, what ever that is,, You feed it on keys once a month...
