General Instruments DSR1500S

I was cleaning out my shed today, and came across one of these thingies - impressive looking machine, but does it have any useful application? The front panel talks about "Digicrypt", which I guess is a proprietry encryption system like PowerVu.

I can't get it to tune KuBand, but with no manual might not be doing the right things.

I suspect it was orignally used by a Pay TV company to relay programming off C-band.

Microvolt.
