I don't have a answer but here is a Translation

Looks like he has a C band setup and a Ku band setup and is using a 2 way DiSEqC SWITCH to change between the two and is having problems.

His decoder is a emtech 200
Vbox11 Positioner

KU setup
850mm dish With a motor

C band setup
2.4 cband dish 24 inch ACTUATOR

Each individual setup works fine but join them together with the DiSEqC SWITCH and the C Band doesn't work.

maybe you should try a 0/12volt switch for around $15 works for me , when switching between c-band and moteck sg2100 (ku). some decoders don't seem to work well with two DiSEqC devices in series (diseqc switch and moteck) . humax and xtreme to name two .

Ha a translation!! Spagy has PM'd me and I think it all works fine on Cband untill he switches to Ku, then C band wont work anymore?
I'm unfamiliar with the Vbox, but that doesnt work via DiSEqc does it?
A little difficult to diagnose the fault until we have all the info.
Sax I remember when you were telling us about the switch... might be the answer?

this all sounds to familiar , ok on c-band go to ku and the moteck does what it likes ! i have the vbox11 it is both diSEqc 1.0 and 1.2 compatable, so this just seems to add to the diSEqC confusion , some of the more up to date software down loads can fix the problem (definitly for humax 5400) ,but as suggested in previous post when a 0/12 volt switch is put in place of the 2-way diseqc switch the vbox11 and motech sg2100 get along with each other quite well . i am only presuming (never played with one) the emtech has a 0/12 volt output as it seems to fairly common on newer decoders

It should also work with a 22k tone switch if u dont have a 0/12v switch.

yes tsd,
i tried a 22khz tone switch before the 0/12volt switch , it works but seemed to be slow in switching , personal preference for 0/12v , but either will work

I know I am late, but scrappydoo just solved the problem for us!

http://www.vetrun.com/forums/showthr...0438#post10438

I have the same problem. create a dummy satellite/transponder entry which selects port 1. you will need to "pick" this satellite so that port 1 is activated before going to your c-band. this seems to work reliably for me.

This problem is due to the receiver never give the diseqc the signal to switch back to the C band side when you return from the KU band, as your sat config is set on motor control for the C band, and not diseqc!

ps scrappydoo must be credited for this idea.
