Humax decoder

My Humax 5400 decoder (not the z model) is up for sale
its in as new condition and comes (for your info VETRUN!!)
with my paid for Aurora card.
I added the paid for because my earlier post on this decoder
seems to have been deleted by somebody assuming
in-correctly I was selling a pirate card.
PM me. Bob.L

while not wishing to upset anyone, Your the seller, It's up to you to set the price,
But having said that, and no I don't want it, or have any use for it, you will be doing well if you can get $250, and you may have to inclued the freight costs out of that.

While Humax are very good, and there are people hear that sware my them, they are dated, but with the right software will do other things.
Your card is worth nothing, for reasons I won't go into.. Sorry.

The message was deleted because you said that you had an Aurora card with all channels. If you have all the channels it is a pirate card because only certain regions have access to certain channels. Maybe you were mistaken when you said it had all channels but as it was written it means a pirate card.

Im one of those folks. I have 2 of these boxes and yes they are dated but I wouldnt part with either of them. They are the pride of my fleet .

If only the tuner went to 45Ms/s.

Yes, the Serial Rate, is a drewback, when you consider what they over came in other things, NTSC, etc you would think that S/R would not be a problem, or is it enbedded in the hardware, and not a software issue

I parted with my humax 5400z but I swapped it for a laptop. Other than that I would have kept it.

U gotta stop eating bones while u type

As I understand it the Symbol Rate can not be changed as it is a physical limitation in the tuner. Would be interesting to see if u could desolder the tuner and replace it with the same brand but a 1-45Ms/s one. Depends on the specs of the tuner and if there was one with the same specs only it went to 45Ms/s. Prolly need a few tweaks in the software as well.
Never bothered to lift the lid of the hummy to see the brand of the tuner.
