Newbe Question

I am currently purchasing a sat decoder ( humax 5400 ) in looking through the specs, I cannot find if it can be used with a large dish ( c band lnb ), can this decoder be used for c band and if so how well.

Any help would be appreciated.

Your receiver is only part of the equation, your dish has to also be
set-up correctly, as does the LNB,,
I would suggest that you do a great deal of reading , as you don,t seem to understand what your about to buy.. While we all had to learn
at some time or other,
In those days, we sat on our Arses, and called the dish all sorts of wonderfull names, but we got there, these days its easer to ask someone else. I would suggest that you look around your area, until
you see a large dish, and with the right approach, people will talk to you, and show you there set-up's.
Answering this type of question leaves a lot unanswered, ie, Should I buy a "New Car" and is it ease to park.. Or should I buy this type of satellite receiver, The questions are far too broad,,,
Also, ask questions of the seller of the receiver, ask to see it demonstrated, If there not prepaired to help you, give them the finger and go elsewhere..

Yes your humax 5400 can be used to receive satellite signals of both ku and C band lnbs. Your dish and allied equipment supplier/installer can install and program/configure it as per your requirement of satellite/channels.
