Innovia

Let me say that I am pleased with my Innovia after the rather frustrating experience with the ASTRX Twinstar. I posted a thread sometime ago regarding it (the Twinstar) but had no response - goes to show what direct importing does!

Question. The menus would seem to indicate that a user can add a transponder. "Press OK to add Transponder." How then do you access the newly added transponder so that you can add the necessary information : Freq, Sr, VPID, APID etc. etc?

THEN how do you add a second channel i.e. with the same Freq. and Sr but different PIDs?

As an aside I find that the search is "probably" more efficient if one does a "Search Satellite" rather than go through the Blind Search routine.

When you search sat or search tp, it will only search 'saved' data, blind search will enter new data. A way to reduce blind search times say for feeds, would be to reduce the sr to say 8 or 10000.

Simmo,

Sorry but my Innovia actually finds more channels - at times - doing a satellite search rather than blind search.

However my real questions are the ones relating to adding a transponder and then adding the information relating to new channels on that transponder.

In the channel search menu just click on add transponder
then enter the details.

You can manually add a channel at the bottom of the search screen
Options "Manul" yes MANUL

Apsattv,

The next available transponder, in the add transponder part of the menu is 101. Following your advice I tried to save 101 but when I try to add details the menu shows transponder 100. Does the box have a 100 transponder limit?

I have done a reasonable amount of searches - does each search create a new set of transponders? That is the only reason I can think of that will have brought me to the 100 level.

Easier to ask than try to find out myself - is there any way to investigate what is actually on those 100 transponders so that if they are duplicates then they can be deleted?

The number of channels I have is only 80 or so, so there must be something wrong somewhere!

You found a software bug..
it only accepts 100 transponder per satellite.

Why does this happen? each time you blindsearch it adds the newly found transponders without checking to see if they are already saved.

I have suggested they Filter out all duplicates after the scan

until then we all have to put up with this "feature"

Is there an easy way to determine which transponders are not in use and then 'delete' them?

The laborious way would be to tabulate the channels and the corresponding transponders and then 'delete' those not in use.

Go into channel search, down to tp no, then right click thru each one, you will see the quality at the bottom, if there is none then the TP has gone....delete it!
The other way is to delete all the tp's on the bird and rescan. (start again!)

I have the Satwork 3688 and they have the same limit, only 100TP on each Satellite.
Are the receiver the same, had any one try the software from the Satwork on the Innovia o Powtek or the Innovia o Powtek on the Satwork?

Saludos

Tried it ages ago.. the Innovia will take the Satworks software but no video display on bootup.

What we really want is "dvb clone software"

that is compatible with many Sti 5518 chipset boxes..
