could i connect 2 receviers on one dish Cband
& what do i need to do to connect them together

I got two receiver connected to a single C band dish in Perth. Run the co-axle cable from LNB to a two way splitter. I was watching Star sports (Analogue) in AS3 and my missus watched CCTV4 last night. Strange though, when I flicked the analogue receiver to Pakistani channel which is a V beam, I lost all the V beam channel in my Digital receiver. Let me know if anyone have this problem.

Your partly right The trouble is only one receiver can control the voltage to the LNB, You will need a two way splitter [as you said] with a single power pass.
What this does is block the LNB power from one receiver, so if one re ceiver is using Horz, they both will use Horz
What happened in your case , was one receiver was using vert, when you switched the other to Horz and the higher voltage climbed over the lower,, Not a recomended thing to happen

Thanks Bassett, It is a simple logic that I have overlooked. Do you recommend using a switch to switch over the control of the receiver co-ax to the LNB?

You can use a orthomode Feedhorn coupled to a 13/18 V Multiswitch so u can jump from Hor. to Vert. channel without upsetting the other receiver,you must run another co-ax to the feedhorn(a bit messy and complicated setup).
Or you can get a Feedhorn/Lnbf that is called "one cable solution" from Av-Comm in Sydney.
where you connect both Rx to one C-band dish but instead of having one IF Freq.of 5.150 Ghz for both horiz./vertical you will have two,Horiz.will be 5.150 and Vert. will have a IF freq.of 5.700 Ghz which u will have to adjust the decoder setting,this will eliminate the loss of signal from one channel (vert.)when you are on the other channel(horiz).

Sure you can use an Arthomode feed , we know that, but you can still only get Horz or Vert with ONE CABLE, The man wanted a simple cheap way of doing it and with a single power pass splitter , he can set it up and forget its there.

Some receivers have a switch on the back that controls the LNB voltage, If your receiver has this function, then It's simple a matter of switching the LNB voltage off, and you can then use your open splitter, as only one voltage will be present.
