I have been well pleased with this box even Select looks great. The menu is very different but one would expect that and it isn't as easy to delete channels as I don't get an on screen indication of weather each channel is scrambled but may be there is a different way to do it I am still playing at this stage. If only I could stop the wife watching Tennis on the telly the HD receiver is plugged into.
I inquired about another box and found that he only has a couple left at that price and they will be going up to their regular price of $329, wish I had some Christmas money left, tis that season.

What's this DIVX business - these receivers have never met Mr. DIVX !

I might be wrong but my receiver doesn't 'see' them. .

*EDIT :- it does play DIVX/XVID from an external USB HDD.

FROM WIKI

DivX is a brand name of products created by DivX, Inc. (formerly DivXNetworks, Inc.), including the DivX Codec which has become popular due to its ability to compress lengthy video segments into small sizes while maintaining relatively high visual quality.

There are two DivX codecs; the regular MPEG-4 Part 2 DivX codec and the H.264/MPEG-4 AVC DivX Plus HD codec. It is one of several codecs commonly associated with "ripping", whereby audio and video multimedia are transferred to a hard disk and transcoded.

My receiver (the thread subject) plays DIVX/XVID dot avi files from an external USB HDD - and powers the HDD OK.

From my experience so far it's a great receiver - especially in picture quality.
