Have a friend of mine with one STB that only has one av out (composite)
Would like to the signal to go to both TV and VCR. Would like to avoid using RF output as a secondary one. Any suggestions? Split with Y connectors? Don't like the idea though especially when it comes to loading etc.

Does his VCR have line in / line out??? or just use a Y connect.
i've done it many times to run AV senders and it works fine.

I have one of my stb's connected to the line in on my vcr and then the line out goes to the TV. You have to set the vcr to 'line in' and the tv set to 'video' to get pics. You can also tape pics from your stb if desired.

I used a couple of 1 to 2 RCA adaptors (for audio and video) I bought at Jaycar - dammed if I can find them in their online catalogue. Cost about $2.50 each and works a treat on my 4653.
