Hi to All

I' am in Sri Lanka and want to setup a new FTA Ku band sat system :D. But I have less amount of knowledge in this area and totally new to this. Could you please some one in this forum help me on this how to start this?

(A). What kind of receiver do I need to purchase (want to use CAM's)?
(B). What kind of dish (size of k band) and LNB do I need ?
(C). What else do I need to setup the sat environment ?

Also could you please let me know what channels I can view (FTA and Pay) ?

Thanks.

The member 'roshan pradeep' has made a complaint that I was too harsh in closing this thread, therefore I will reopen it and await with interest, the other members responses.

Most of his questions can be answered with some reading and learning, we can't do his thinking for him !

Read, read, read, when you have specific questions - post them.:)

Roshan! welcome to the world of FTA ! best thing is to find someone near you that has already invented the wheel , " they have working system" and talk to them, there must be a sat equipment seller in your area and talking to them will give you a lot of info! then , get on this forum every day and use the "search" button and you will find just about everything yuo want to know! dont ask about cams, cards, illeagal decoder softwear as this is a FTA forum. Iwish you well, leslie

another way is to look round your district, satellite dishes are hard to hide, and with the right approach to the owner, they will talk about there hobby, The twoa dvantages to this is the fact that there in your area, for help later, and they know what available with regard to programming.
