Please post some pics of the menus and see if anyone can i.d it as being a copy of something else.

It sounds rather like a UK BskyB provider box, and if that is the case, you can forget it. the same goes if it's a chinese clone, unless you can match the menu's to something well known, that has software and internet sites.
As Craig said post a picture of the main menu page.
