Any news on HD decoders for oz?Notice that they are selling in Europe. Homecast 143 pounds sterling.

not much HD in oz, so not many HD decoders. lots of HD in europe, lots of HD decoders. they are available in oz, but not like the strongs are, they are hiding.

Tandberg come to mind. but really if you wait a while, about 5 years, until they catch up, something will come along, failing that, import one yourself.

Not much HD, technically there is nothing in Australia unless you count 576p and 720p mpeg2 on D1 HD

That is why there is no need for HD Sat Decoders yet

I'm just wondering if Aurora will start using HD or am I being very silly to even think about that. With D2 and D3 surely we will get some HD content before 5 years or will it be only pay TV.

Technically 720p is HD but I would hardly call 6 mbit/s mostly upscaled sd material HD

Have a look at Europe with single transponder HD services that are Mpeg4 1080 and 15-25mbits/s, now that IS HD!
