I had trouble getting the Chinasat 6B satellite..
Here is what I have configured:
Type: DiSEqC 1.2
LNB Type: Normal
LNB Freq. 1: 05150
LNB Freq. 2: 05150
0/12 Volt None
22kHz Tone: 0kHz
DisEqC: None
C/Ku Band Control: None
Then I added the frequencies for transponders in.
I got the frequencies from a website.
Then I went to search TP.
But nothing is coming up...
:( Can anyone tell me what went wrong?
In the web page, they provided with a FEC, but I don't know how to configure that on DVBS2800A... How can I configure that?
Also, some provided with PID, I don't know how to get those configured as well...
 Can anyone help me?
Thanks :o

Is that because all Chinese Satellite channels on AS 3 have now moved
to ChinaSat 6B and SinoSat 3.

Yes, so I was trying to get the ChinaSat 6B and SinoSat 3, but I have this problem...

well... you have DiSEqC 1.2 listed, which is for controlling motors on small Ku dishes... if it is a c-band dish (large mesh or solid above 2 metres normally) then it will need to be moved (pointed) to where chinasat6b is, maybe someone else in adelaide can say whether sinosat3 is receivable there or not?

If you look on his post and this time read it, you might just discover that he states "DisEqC: None"
And he would hardly be using a Ku dish set-up, when both asiasat 3s and chinasat 6b, are C-band ONLY on Australia coverage. Now would he,
Now our friends problem,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
What our friend should do is make sure he's "ON" satellite, as Chinasat is only a whisker away from Palapa C2, Even though signal strengths are considerably stronger on Chinasat.
A good solid frequancy to load would be the CCTV mix, 3771 H 9375, which would be the most stable frequancy on there. And don't worry about loading an FEC, unfortunatly most modern receivers have this as an automatic loading.
Just a small point, with the LNB frequance, remove the first ZERO, all that is required is 5150

yeh bassett
Type: DiSEqC 1.2 ... maybe it is what is used to control the Vbox?
try toggling the C/Ku control: option...

Bassett, just a point of difference :) , young mic may be right,
Type: DiSEqC 1.2 would be for the motorised command,
DisEqC: None, may be for Disq 2x or 4x port/ multi switch.
footnote it would assist if chengjiangrn24 may advise dish size.

In his receiver setting's he tells us everything is switched off or not in use,
i.e. DisEqC: None
C/Ku Band Control: None
He's simply not on satellite...
He tells us, he was getting it [ chinese channels] on asiasat 3, therefore the dish is the correct
type and size.

he may not be on satellite, but e also may be spot on, just using incorrect settings...
chengjiangrn24... can you please give us a bit more information on your set-up so that we can better assist you?

Now our friends problem,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
What our friend should do is make sure he's "ON" satellite
Yes motor or not.
1.2 or not.
The dish needs to be pointed exactly at the right satellite.
Is it?
Having 1.2 on without a motor usually won't kill the signal.
Here is what I have configured:
Type: DiSEqC 1.2
.........
.........
.........
.........
DisEqC: None

Any particular reason you have a zero in front of 5150?
