Dreambox 500S Help

Hi,

Ive just gotten myself a Dreambox 500S, after using Strong receivers for ages this thing is a NIGHTMARE to configure.

It seems I add a satellite in 1 place, and it doesnt appear when I want to add transponders, or setup DiSEqC.

Im having problems with EVERYTHING

I want to add

Optus D1, LNB is 11.300 on DiSeqC port A

12.483 H with SR 22500
12.456 H with SR 22500

Optus C1 with a 10.750 LNB on DiSeqC port B

12.407 C with SR 30000

Optus B3 with a 11.500 LNB on DiSeQc on Port C

12.525 V with SR 30000
12.658 V with SR 30000
12.407 V with SR 30000

Anyone tell me step by step how to do this?

nightmare is a bit strong (sorry couldn't resist). The key to getting this working easily is to get a satellites.xml file that contains the info you wanted uploaded to the box.

there are plenty of them around for ANZ, but here is a sample what's in mine(Edit: somehow the display is mangling this XML display, it shows up in edit mode, but not display)

this lives in /var/etc/ and you can FTP the file up.

i did a quick google search and got this one

search google for dreambox satellites.xml nz (or australia)

what image are you using by the way? then you need to use advanced setup and fix up your diseqc/moteck options etc.

Ive kinda got it sorted, but I now cannot get the Aurora card working off C1

OK, Now got everything else sorted. But I cannot get my Optus Aurora card to start working and decoding the channels (Channel 7, SBS etc). Its a Irdeto1 card. Is there anything I need to enable? any help appreciated.

Works fine in my Strong & Topfield box

Firstly i have a dreambox 500s,80cm dish all are connected when i conect my dreambox and input transponder for optus c1 12478/H/27800 i scan and i dont find anything. at first i thought it was the dish that was stuffed and smething was wrng with it but then i connected the dish to a sanyo sky and scanned for optus c1 and i found all channels can you please tell me why my dreambox cant find all the channels . and how can i get optus c1 channels free.

For starters you have posted the same question on 6 THREADS.
Please either start a new thread,or post it ONCE.
Now with your dm500 did you have a signal quality level?
Maybe you hadnt configured your box to the lnb you have.
what lnb do you have?
Regarding the C1 channels to view ,I beleive you will be able to see all of them if you ring 131999.
