The P168 is a better option. I use one of these on my T90

The P168 supports diseqc uncommitted. IE you can run a 1*4 way off each input as well. For recievers that do not support diseqc uncommitted (greater that 4 way) you can control the inputs as if it was a motor drive. Fully west is Input 1 fully east is input 8 and the others are available as you sweep. This also allows recievers that do not support diseqc uncommitted to use the p168 and still add 4 way switches to each input if needed.

I have the p168 selecting the T90 lnbs plus the 8th input goes to a diesqc motor with a 1*4 way after the motor. This is used to select multiple lnb's on the motorised dish. I do this to get around lnb skew issues with the optus sats.

I posted a pic of the setup (taken while working on moving the dishes around) in the T90 thread last week. Also a PDF of the cable setup on austech here http://www.austech.info/showpost.php?p=1169993&postcount=33

Here is a copy of the P168 install instructions

I've read the instructions but not sure how it would be connected to a Topfield 3000 cipro?

The Rec connects to the "out" each LNB connects to one input (marked IMP1 through INP8)

I don't have Topfield 3000, so someone else may be able to help you out a bit more with this bit

If it supports Diseqc uncommitted you will be able to select more than 4 inputs. If it can do this theis is way to go. Switch position would select INP1 and so on.

If this does not work select the switch as a diseqc 1.2 positioner. As you can from fully west to fully east the switch will change from INP1 through INP8. Setup a sat for each input and jog the motor till the correct LNB is selected and save the position in the reciever.

I've checked my Toppy, and it has diseq 1.2 control and Usals diseq 1.3 control? As a test case before buying one of these, would I be able to achieve the same thing with a 4 way diseq - by setting it up through the diseq 1.2 commands rather than the diseq setting (ie inp 1-4) that I currently have it set with?

Early Diseqc (V1.0 and 1.1) could support switches with up to 4 inputs. These are also called committed switches as they are at the end of a chain. Uncommitted switches can select up to 16 inputs and can also have committed switches on each input giving a maximum selection of 64 inputs (16*4). Nearly all recievers support committed (4way) some support uncommitted (>4way) and few support both at the same time. The maxplus2700s does both. The easy way to tell is go through your diseqc options and see how many inputs you are able to select.

One of the great features for thos that cant access both on the P168 is that you can make the switch behave (emulate) a diesqc 1.2 motor. Imagine the motor passing from east to west, as it moves different sats signals appear. The same thing happens as you sweep the dish in emulation mode. The diference being that it is switching inputs.

On mine one of the inputs goes to a motor which in turn has a 4 way switch on the dish. I use this input for the sats that mt T90 will not get and the mutiple LNB's to get around different LNB skew issues (mainly with optus sats)

It's the best switch on the market right now, i use two of those to connect all my LNBs from my T90
