hi,
i already have 2.3 m c-band dish pointed to asiasat3 to receiver all fta channel using a cheap SPACE brand fta digital satellite receiver..with this receiver i am getting all those fta channels loud and clear..recently just for hobby i bought a dreambox 500s receiver so that i could do recordinng to my computer and lot other fun stuff..
i have done all that was mentioned in dreambox manual..it's got default enigma image..
i put the lnb cable to dreambox and turn it on..
i select asiasat3 from list of satellites in menu and direct lnb to satellite setting..
and when i do automatic transponder scan ,it doesn;t find any channels..channel doesn;t lock up..the signal quality is shown 78% in menu, but there is not tick on the trasnponder lock..
can some one guide me what i am missing here..i have got this lnb.

when i use my space receiver i get all channels..i want to receive same channels with dreambox too..
thanks
Ram

Hi Ramsharan

Sounds to me as though you havent got your LNB configuration setup correctly on the Dreambox.
I usually use the User Defined or Complex Menu for dedicated setup of LNBs/ Switches etc.
Also, Remember to do a restart after you have made and saved settings.
Sometimes this has to be done in order for your changes to take effect.

Cheers

hi mate,
thanks for ur reply..
ok..before i was using 1 lnb configuration..
now if i use user defined or complex lnb config.it has the option to select 22khz and voltage..
what should be set there..also in the lnb no. configuration screen..what should be entered in LOF/L,LOF/H,Threshold
and should increased voltage be checked in..

i got AC-152C lnb from MTI

with my 7000 was simpler to make 2 satellites or files eg asia 3 V & asia 3H and setup accodingly in transponder edit & User defined non standard setup.
