I am thinking of getting a blind scan decoder. I have never used one of these before. I have done a bit a searching around and have come up with purchasing either a Maxplus 2700s or a manhattan plaza ST350.

could some one please recommend if either of these is okay or another decoder which should also be considered. preferably i would like one with card access. cheers.:)

Hi mason,

I have a manhattan ST350 & find it a nice easy to use STB.

There is not 1 STB that will do everything, as the Manhattan still wont find channels with certain "hidden PIDs".

Apart from that there is no problems.

Do your research & read around the forums threads & posts on other STBs.

good luck.

cheers

Consider the new Hyundai 720

From the specs ive seen,
- the Hyundai 720 is a FTA box (doesnt have a card slot.) <$200 aus
- Maxplus 2700s is FTA + Card slot. <$200 aus
- Manhattan ST120 with card slot is $200 (see site sponser)
- Manhattan St350 has 2CI slots + 1 card slot + PVR Optional to 120GB $317

Cheaper units also available on Ebay like the Star etc can be bought for under $150

Lots of options available, just depends on what you want and how much your willing to spend.

Hi Mason, probably the best option for you. I've had a 350 for a number of years now and works fine for me.

Also a number of people on this site have a Manhattan so plenty of guidance available if you have an issue :D :D
