View Full Version : Access Pin Number.....
Does any one have the access code to enter the service menu on an old Pace DGT 400 decoder.
It is an old galaxy box.
Trying to get into the menu but can't without the access number.
Tried the usual 0000 1234 Etc but no luck.
All info appreciated.

It'll work!!!
Thanks Simmo.
Don't you think you might be showing your age a little, if you can remember the pin number to something that become obsolete 20 years ago, or may be it is good that you still remember....what was I saying.

Correct....go to the top of the class
Wasn't that when Moses was watching tv on the way to the promised land??
Actually I did try that one, the person that give me the box told me the number but did say it was the old one, but couldn't remember the new one.
I appreciate the help.

Why are you playing with a Pace 400, i saw one on E-bay the other week, the punch line went something like this,
Quote,,, I don't know if it works, but it lights up" Now tell us you did not buy the thing.
Actually all jokes aside, when they were working they had the best picture quality of any receiver, both old and modern, with the exception of a scientific atlanta
Nah, didn't buy it.
It was handed to me by a friend that had it in a box in the garage for years, asked me if I could see if it works and if it could be used for FTA.
I know that PTV boxes were stopped viewing FTA but I though this just might be a bit before that time.
I changed the freq and got a reaction, but I am only guessing that the screen rate is different, because all I am getting is heap of flashing, moving coloured lines on the screen.
Any Ideas?
Can this particular box view FTA?
All help appreciated.

Did any of the pin nos werk????
Yep, the pin you gave me worked, thats how I was able to change the freq, but can't get a picture.
I was using the tuning channels 156.0 so I should have been get the garb on the cards but all I got was heaps of coloured lines.
What would cause that?

What software is it loaded with, the earler software would play just about anything, given you stayed with-in the parameters of the S/R. the problem with the latest software was it was just off the DVB standard, and you can't go back through the software, to an earler version.

Old models will still play Aurora with the frequency changed in the settings menu....naturally, you will need the standard approved smartcard from opt. to do this.

That'll be me Adman....sorry.
I have one here that plays vertical very simply, it all depends on the age,the cam, and whether they got the over the air upgrade that made them Horizontal only
Mind you, like other 400's, it acts as a toaster these days anyhow.

Ok, original software, don't know if it got the over the air upgrade, did try a proper card, and it was a vertical freq, got nothin.
It searches and loads stations off transponder freq's, but just the coloured lines, no pic's.
I might set up a spare dish and just run it off the 400 instead of running off the other gear with the other dishes and switches.
