I have only installed this software dirrectly from the satellite and found it to be very good. I am told there are some risks in loading it dirrectly from your computer that could mean you need to send it Scintific Atlanta for servicing - USE AT YOUR OWN RISK! Please follow any (?) instructions included and double check your cable against the included pinout BEFORE use.

We use Scientific Atlanta D9234s for our church network. It ran on a Adhock basis on PAS 2 since 1988. It is currently being reinvented as the Hope Channel. Ultimately it will be 24/7 but with 6 hour segments repeated 4 times in 24 hours.

When u say u have only installed directly from the satellite.
Which bird are you talking about this Pas2?
Do u need to be a subscriber to download direct from the satellite?
Cheers

Edit
I downloaded the file and it says it is corrupted.
Anyone else have this?

I downloaded the software directly from Pas 2 to my Scientific Atlanta D9234. Our church was providing adhoc programming on this bird and wanted to upgrade all our decoders so they could better utilise wide screen broadcasts. We simply tuned to our regular frequency and choose virtual channel 50 for the software download. We had to stay on frequency for about 5-10 minutes an the whole process was automated.
We are no longer an adhock broadcaster and are mid way through the changerover to 24/7 broadcasts on the hope chanel, I am unaware if the software broadcasts are still happening
