Sir,
Go to Channel Search--- TP Data and select User Defined. Then enter TP data including the PIDs and store the settings. Then select Manuall All and press OK on START. If you have signal, it will tune those channels.

Hi scrappydoo,
Ive done everything possible (including banging head on desk) all to no avail to get Imparja via B1.
It saddens me to have even got it on my Strong 4800ii STB but still not ST350.
What the Manhatten needs is a add channel & details feature so you can manually enter TP S/R & Pids, therefore creating the details rather than scanning.
The strong has that feature.
Long live my Topfield, that was a piece of cake.
cheers

Go to their website and send an email to tech support. If enough people report it as a bug it might get fixed. They seem to think it works at the moment, when we know it doesn't.

I found the new firmware has much better picture quality than the origional firmware that it came with out of the box. I don't know if this is new to this firmware or if it was in previous firmware updates that this was fixed.

I think the new firmware breaks the PVR. I had about 6 items stored on the hard drive. deleted 4 of them. Switched off the unit (via remote control) and went back to PVR, my 6 items are back again. I also locked one of them and it remains unlocked.
I tried recording the bill from DV3 on B1 on sat night and ended up with a 1Mb file so I suspect something went awry there too. Something I recorded on Fri night before I upgraded recorded just fine.

It is recommended by the suppliers of these boxes to perform a factory reset after any software updates, this may fix the problem.
I await more reports before I drag out the null cable !

I did do a factory reset :-) made no difference to the minor issues.
The 79 firmware version isn't compatible with satcodx download anyhow, so if you use that feature don't upgrade yet.

One annoying thing I find with the Manhattan 550 is (difficult to explain !)
If you tell the box to scan a satellite, the flash comes on saying "dish moving", if the box doesn't see a signal on the first TP in the list it sits there doing nothing. The software stops responding until the receiver sees a signal which tells the software to go to the next step.
Only a power-off reset (only button on the remote which does anything in this mode) will wake it up, no other way out of this. I get around this by disabling the motor control in the scan satellite field. Annoying to push the 'start' button and realise immediately that 'I have done it AGAIN'. And then of course I have to remember to enable the DiSEqC motor control again, tricky with U/S memory in the box upon my shoulders.
Aside from this the 550 with PVR is a great receiver, the problem could be fixed in software I am sure, I just have to learn how to describe it better !
