Hi pp , Usually I set the decoder audio volume to Max then I increase or decrease the audio volume by the tv remote control and never use the decoder remote control to increase or decrease audio volume by the decoder remote control . If I set the audio volume half-way of the decoder then I have to use both decoder and tv remote controls to increase or decrease the audio volume , Because if the tv audio volume at Min I cannot increase the audio volume by decoder remote control unless the tv audio volume at half-way , Therefore what is the best way to adjust or synchronize the audio volume by using only one remote control either one of them for better listeninig . Please advice .

Best Regards

I,m not sure what your trying to say, but you have answered your own question.. Setting the satellite receivers volume to maximum, ONCE only, then control the audio output via the TV,or Amp remote, is the way most people do it.. My satellite receivers are not in the main living area, So I,m not about to do back and forth to control anything.

I do something similar and set the decoder's volume somewhere between 3/4 - full and then forget about it and just use the TV remote.

Ditto VK4BKP, I set the sat receiver volume to the same level as the analogue TV, then - when changing the input source - the LOUD level doesn't make you jump and drop your chop, beer, cat, or honey sandwich.

Some decoders have both fixed and variable volume outputs.
I really like that idea because a couple of times I have tried to record and accidentaly had the volume on the box down so there was no audio on the recording. I think the VCR output should always be fixed level.

Cats always land on thier feet. Toast lands buttered side down so to make an antigravity device strap the toast to the cats back.

Have got a Logitech Harmony Remote Controls and I think it’s the best way to do so far.
