That is a very broad question?!!!
I would say Toppy because it should work straight out of the box.
(not that I own any of the above...)
Personal opinion, DB is overated.

I have read that life is simpler with a DB , if you speak Linux ?

Have no idea avout a Topfield ?

Learning Linux is like learning Zulu...go for the Topfield.

The Topfield is just a satellite receiver, with a PVR, Big deal.

the dream, any dream is a unlimited satellite receiver, that is capable of all sorts of wonderful things. If you care to put a great deal of time into the thing, and considerable effort. And even though , they are exceptional, They are also very limited in this country, due to the fact we have bugger all services, to use them on..
But if you can get one at the right price, go for it..
And for the record, I,ve just sold my last one. But I know people that have
multiply models, and they think there the be all and end all, of receivers.
BUT they are not a beginners receiver.

Really, if you are new to the hobby, you would be better of getting something a bit cheaper, and less complecated. But it depend's what you intend to do with it.. nudge,nudge,wink,wink.
