Jaytec, Welcome to vetrun,
The Boss has pointed you in the right direction for source of Blind Scanners.
The Manhattan is a good box now, other brands are available and there is various preferences, read other forums on this site. I have Mahattan ST 350, with HDD, working great for me.
Cheers

I think it’s more to do with the smartcard reader. no matter what I throw into it, gold, silver or activated Optus aurora smartcard (one week old) the signal is still encrypted. The whole system was working up until a few months ago then there was nothing.
I have tried uninstalling and rescanning frequencies as well as realigning the dish, oddly enough it finds the aurora channels with the cards out and but gives me an (Tuning Fail) when the cards are in.
Anyhow I was looking for a blind scanner to play with :D , if I can figure out what’s wrong with the humax I may be tempted to play with C band.
Thanks for the help.

Received the Manhattan - Plaza ST 120: yesterday, quick delivery considering this time of the year, I would recommend aDigitaLife.com to everybody.
Everything works great and the Blind Search facility makes things much easier.
Just a few questions, my Aurora smartcard seems not to be working (gold card works fine) and I was just wondering if it has any thing to do with the fact that the aurora smartcard is IRDETO 2. Is this a problem with the decoder or should I phone up Optus and find out the activation status of my card.
The only other thing is, I wish satellite equipment manufactures would realize that people actually live south of the equator and adjust hardware and firmware accordingly. :)
Cheers,

If your Ir2 Aurora card has been out of a decoder for a while it takes some time to reactivate....they work fine in the ST120. Gold card ? hmmmm....

As for non working bit of Plastic, try turning it over...
As for manifacturers setting up there receivers for this part of the world.. Thats not going to happen any time soon, due to the fact, that we simply don't have a viable market, to do a run of receivers , with software peramiters for the southern hemisphere. Order half a million, and they might think about it, Go to india, and order
20 million receivers with Conex enbedded for Zee, and they will ask you what colour case would you like.
It really is all about supply and demand, and we simple don't have a demand. TV's are just the same, we get what the rest of the world don't want. The Yank's buy 35 million sets a year, So they get there NTSC, and all the connections they want. Simply because they can dictate to the manifacturers want they want in a TV Set
