Get the new firmware for the Manhattan boxes now! Fixes the picture quality.

I uploaded & installed latest version off the manhattan site on my ST350.

Im sure it blind scans faster, & doesnt seem to miss much, if anything.

One thing I did notice, if a new added sat has no TP info at all, it seems to not reconise LNB or let you move dish via the disq 1.2 mode untill you add a TP. ????

As far as picture goes, maybe it is?

I've just downloaded the upgrade. I'll wait till weekend and give my report. After my last upgrade I had to go find the birds again and re-scan. I assume the same applies and I will need some time

I have recently upgraded the software into my plaza 120 as I had the washed out look with my TV. After the upgrade the picture seemed little or no better [connected to 2 TVs via composite video on one TV and s-video to the other TV]
Jason fron adigital life suggested I try connections through the scart socket...it works.... :) The upgrade seems to only give an improved picture through scart..I only have it connected with composite video and not RGB but there is much better contrast and deeper colour.

right every one, i was experience little different situation. when i connect st120 with my old philips tv via normal rf cable the picture sharpness and the quality is like real, but when connect to the tv tuner in my pc, now the picture is dull.espacilly when the picture is moving i can see the dots.like pore quality.may be the pc is running at 933mhz or the tuner is low standard.any thoughts

Plug a vcr or tv into the video in on your pc and see what it comes out like to see if it's the manhattan or the pc/capture card.

it will be the tV tuner card. you don't have enough grunt to properly encode. what is the card and do you know what chipset it's using. it will be BT848 or connexant probably?

Did this new firmware fixed the NTSC to Pal glitch?

installed firmware last night on my 350, and biggest difference i found straight away was darker picture.

its like new firmware has made whole screen bit darker, adn every time you change channel picture brightness actualy chanegs 2-3 times before becoming stable. but still darker than before.

and NTSC to PAL has still same old problem.

my advise "stay away from this lastest firmware" if i know anyway to rollback to previous firmware, will do that without thinking about it.

i cannot see any improvement with this new firmware.

it is st lab card and and 7130 philips chipset.but on this card the local tv channels are looks ok, picture is not like blocks.i also think that quality also depend on receiving channels.some are poor is quality picture.
