Fortec ultra firmware 2.61

Can someone post the version 2.61 for the fortec ultra, only can find the firmware for the fortec 5100.

Simmo I wouldn't dare to ask for how to get free tv, just want my fortec working like my other rcvs. Tried the Al7bar site, too much unknown firmware, don't want to turn my rcv into a door stop.

Hmm, the attached is 2.67. Looked thru my PC, and cant find 2.61. Maybe I just saw it on UC?? dunno?

Thanks simmo shall try to flash my ultra life unit tonight and see if the channels I'm after comes up.

umm hang on! UI thought you had the ultra. The 'life' is a differant file I think?

yep found out last night, the file wouldn't load up, but no damage to the fortecstar lifetime ultra, I downloaded the lastest firmware from the fortec website and v2.73, still my unit is not able to get the channels, even if I manually enter the vid,pid etc. It shows the freq 4000 as being high for both the quality and strength, but comes back with no channels found, when I do a scan, Weird it just can't pickup these channels only, every other channels ok. I know it's only these channels, but when you buy something that don't function 100% like a cheaper unit does, you get very frustrated.

This works for me...if it does not work for you then you may have some other problem, or a crook receiver....which sounds unlikely if it works on similar F and SRs.

I found some of the later software versions had problems with higher SRs, these later software versions are made for Europe where SRs much over 28000 are rare...give it a go !
