firmware humax help

i need help upgrading my humax f2-1002 firmware. i downloaded that formula for NEO program and attempted to flash my humax with the latest firmwares, but it just says serial connection timeout or something. i used a null modem cable db9 and the special connector that only humax make for the f2-1002 recievers, many other recievers dont use it such as 5400 and stuff. what am i doing wrong? ive never flashed before.

Are you sure it's a Null cable, that they use, showing "Timeout" tells me that the connection is not correct. It could be a streight through connection, some receivers are.

yep its a null cable modem as thats what it says to use on humax website.
also, has anyone bought a f2-1002 reciver? its only fta.

yea there is, on humax website, u need to buy a special adapter from them also, it cost about 35 dollars altogether which includes shipping. ask humax for it as they are the only ones that sell it.
