I haven't noticed anyone else mention there is new firmware release for the lifetime ultra. So I will :) It's available from the usual places.

The only new feature I can see is a good one - you can now specify a frequency range when doing a power (blind) scan.

The firmware seems to load just fine here and I'm doing a powerscan of B1 as I type this. It could also be my imagination but it seems to be scanning somewhat slower than before, so hopefully it won't skip things as it was doing also in newer releases.

It now has the option of scanning like the Powtek, not bad at all.

Has the update on the Lifetime Ultra got Measat 2 working?

Why would you want a Fortec, Running like a Chinese Clone, ???????????

Why not have a unit that can blind scan ANY parameter you want by choice, rather than scanning the WHOLE satellite and having no choice?

Has the update on the Lifetime Ultra got Measat 2 working?

that's my weekend activity. :)

I will let you know.

On the actual blind scanning side, it seems to be working ok this new version. It's finding stuff on B1 like seven digital and other seven SNGs etc. (I delete the transponders before starting).

The seven digital should play, its only the High Definition channels that give the receivers the Hebee-Gebee's

it's now kind of working with measat2 KU stuff. power/blind scan is finding something on 11600H/41501 which are slightly different figures to which the xtreme uses. I can't remember if blind scan found anything before. BUT, it's not finding any channels in there. To quote: "1 transponder founded", 0 program found :-)

so basically it's still rooted when it comes to measat2 KU band stuff.

11600 H 41500 Thats the Sky-net bouquat, some list it at 11602
What happens if you manualy load it via ''Advanced scan", will it load and play, or do you still get zip, It's all viaccess 1, except "A-SKY-NET Info, which plays, load the pids also V-pid 512, A-pid 513, PCR-pid 512.

If you still get zip, you need a @metabox 111

Sounds like Fortec are fixing their issues, if you can see it I can only imagine in time you'll be able to download it. More versions of software than bill gates has ever made :)

it still gives you nothing via advanced scan. There is definitely some bug there because it has zero quality on the display, and when you enter the Symbol Rate the strength which hovers around 70 to 80 drops to 60.

There are two FTA channels at the moment - at least there was on Sunday which the xtreme found.
