Guys, am at the end of my little project (for past 3 days) but cannot get the fortec / DS-200 to remember / lock onto a bird and return there, they all tune in fine, great signal levels on all but I store that location, move onto the next one but when I try to go to a previously stored bird the motor drives past it about 6 inches. Must have something to do with my location. Whilst I am using 1.2 I have put my location into the USALS area as 152 long and 27 lat. Tried to lie when setup on C1/156 with my location also as 156 but not luck. The DS200 does not have any display as such but have reset it to ensure memory is clear. Any cunning suggestions appreciated

Well fart, looks like we are having fun,... to expand on my own post, I have just removed a strong vboxii from my c band setup, zeroed it, and now have half a dozen all tuned in and stored. Looks like it's a DS-200 issue (my $350.00 5v power supply). May have to try it out on the c band setup if it wont play with the fortec

I am my best friend and confident.... I have spent sooo much time on this little project, with soo many gremlins and I am still not sure off all of them. The strond vbox ii worked for an hour no it reports e-2 and will only drive the motor one way at a time and only if I remove one of the m wires. I think I will change the fortecs firmware back to an earlier version for some stability. Yes thats a good idea fart, no worries fart

hehe move the pole 6 inches the other way???
Sorry mate, you look like you are having SO much fun there!!
I dont have one of these motor things, but I did have problems in the start with the Motek.
Just try and load the OZ PACIFIC file, which will get rid of all the other birds etc in the Fortec set up, it worked here?

fart, I'm still amazed why you didn't use the DS for Elevation and use your EZ for azimuth. The DS does optical so it should have drove the elevation from go. Yor EZ positoner would have ben suffice for east-west. Me thinks you have confused yourself a slight bit. :)

I hear what your saying Yal, but have done the mod to the EZ-2200 and it drives the optical actuator fine now, and after much fine tunning will probably never have to move again. The dish side is fine, it's just that the fortec won't remember where each bird is after another one is stored, got close using a strong vbox ii until it also went bezerk. Will try suggestion on other thread to clear all channels and start again, could not do it tonight bloody mosquitoes nearly carried me off. The DS-200 is a mighty fine 5v power supply for the EZ 2200 but.
tomorrow is gunna be good
