if it is brand new(by the look of it),shouldn't it already have the latest software/firmware on it ??? ....... otherwise go to Google and search for "VIVA VS9000 Digital Satellite Reciever" ............... also where did you buy it & how many $AUD (Aussie dollar dollar) did it cost you ? :D

Heard of Pantec? it can be software flashed into a Pansat or with the Fortec Lifetime ultra software! even comes with remotes for either.
