How sure that the eMetabox sw from the web contain pure honey? So far I have not downloaded them as they might contain bugs. Can someone ensure this?
There are a few minor bugs but new firmware is released regularly.

Nico, is eMetabox really a bad stuffs. I've seen many sat forums eg. UCAS site talking about eMetabox but not other STB. What is the best STB that never gives us problem?
Pm me your email address and i will send you a firmware upgrade and a loader program and instructions on how to use it.
I think you will have problems no matter what ucas reciver you use, they all have bugs.

For all those that have Emetaboxes I have been advised that the factory intends to release an official upgrade. Hopefully this will address all the issues that people have emailed me about.
This upgrade will be sent to me directly so for those that need it please PM me your email & Emetabox details... E1, or E3.
I'm not sure that I can post the new software here and hopefully Vetrun will read this and let me know.
This upgrade will not be a thrid party patch as has been released on other forums. Please be careful in not just loading other patches that have been known to ruin a few peoples days.

As long as the firmware doesn't contain any UCAS features it is fine. If the firmware has UCAS in it you can't upload it.

Thanks Vetrun.
I believe the upgrade will have features not compatible with this forum which is why I suggest people PM me with their emails. I don't wish to infringe on the forum rules.

There's a few forums around that post all sorts of untested crap, just for the sake of posting it..
BUT, There is always risk with loading any new software, however small.

There is no perfect receiver. But unlike other manufacturers the emetabox does get major upgrades. I havent heard about any new major upgrades for other decoders which is why I sell my customers Emetaboxes.
They are very reliable, and unless the user patches the wrong software have proven to be good value for money.
