Innovia/Powtek software?

New Innovia/Powtek software? I found a blindsearcher being sold in Thailand as "Digibox 3000" appears to be same as Innovia/Powtek. There is software for it dated 1/12/03 available at the link below. Its some 80k bigger yet does not have the Innovia boot pic.

I installed it last night,I have not noticed anything new yet. Since it resets everything I need to set B1 B3 etc up again.

Anyone else tried it.

I tried the data side of the software which enabled me to save the channel list etc and then upload them after resetting the box. unfortunately you cannot edit the channel list with the software, it just backs them up.

I have not tried the firmware.

no difference that I can find so far..

Just no boot up pic, which you would think would save memory! and yet the newer file is 80k larger...

seems to have the same bugs, also a new? one sometimes the PIP doesnt resize and you just get top right corner of what would be showing in full screen.

I was going to try the software until I found out that the powtek has the opposite rs232 plug to all the other sat decoders out there so I have to buy an adapter plug. Does anyone know if the new software fixes the problems with the HD ABC channels?

The powtek never had a bootup pic so maybe this is just the powtek software?

Yes weirdly it just uses serial cable.. not the null modem lead..
lucky i have an external modem.

So the Powtek doesnt have a boot pic.. hmmmmmm

this software must be the one installed for "OEM" models no idea why its 80k bigger oh well.
